I have a big problem editing my layout file. I have difficulty editing values of those properties that will have ellipses in the value column when i select them. The issue is when I click on the ellipses, the dialog that I’m supposed to see did not appear!
This dialog really helps me experiment with screen layout. I don’t have to remember the options available for the property e.g. Layout Gravity, as shown below.
A you can see, I have manage to make the dialog appear. I found the workaround stated here:
I did as mention. I highlighted the property, press the Tab key and then the Spacebar. Why do I have to do it this way? “Reason: Tab moves to the small “…” button behind the value and Space depresses it.”
I’m happy to live with this though of course my wish is to have a bug fix. I was having similar issue with InstallShield 2008 IDE. This workaround should work for it as well. Well, that is the past now…
