I am currently in progress cleaning up my room. It was kind of messy and disorganized. Actually it still is right now. I have lots of things that i still keep. Text books, lecture and tutorial notes, computer game boxes and lots of other junks. I had kept all these junks in boxes so that these items are hidden from sight and it makes my room look ‘organized’.
That was 2 years ago. Now i feel that these boxes takes a lot of space. I have more junks lying around and if i were to continue putting them in boxes, my room will someday turn into a warehouse! So for the past few weekends, i have been going through the boxes and select the items that i can discard. The text books stays for now while the lecture notes and tutorials are destined for recycling. I saved the contents and throwing away the boxes in stages, a few at a time. I am discarding lots of old IT gadgets as well.
I plan to keep my stuff on shelves. I believe this is the solution for my messy and disorganized room problem. I was looking around for a small shelves. Something that can be easily transported home and is cheap. Went to Ikea. There’s one that i want to get but it is kind of expensive. For now i will get some cheap ones from the hypermart.
This is what i want for my room. Comes in 2 colors. The beige one looks nicer. Got the white so far. Fixed it up. Using it temporarily to store my CD collection. Looks kind of sturdy. Should be able to support the weight of my books. I will be getting a few more. My mom likes it too. She wants me to get 2 for her to organize the dry food stuff in the kitchen. I need to 3 more. Looks like i have to make a few trips to the hypermart this week. I cant possibly get all 5 at one go.
Once i get this done, i will next target my closet. Lots of old clothes in there. Time has come to discard them…
